This document describes how ToTourist (“App”, “Service”) processes data and the terms under which you may use it. It is designed for Google Play compliance (including Data safety and UMP consent). This is not legal advice.

A. Automatically collected technical data (app operation & safety)
Device model, OS/version, app version, diagnostics, crash logs.
Purpose: stability, debugging, fraud prevention, service security.
Legal basis: legitimate interests (product security/stability).
B. Location data (optional)
Approximate and/or precise location only if you grant permission (e.g., nearby POIs, map view, localized tips).
Purpose: provide features that require location.
Legal basis: consent. You can withdraw permission in system settings.
C. Advertising identifiers & ad metadata (AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK)
Google Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, app interactions related to ad requests, frequency capping & fraud-prevention signals.
Purpose: show ads, measure delivery, prevent abuse.
Legal basis:
EU/UK: consent via Google UMP (personalized ads only with consent; otherwise non-personalized or limited ads).
Other regions: legitimate interests/contract as allowed by local law.
If you purchase Ad-Free for 7 days, we suppress ad requests during the active period.
D. Purchases (Google Play Billing – Managed Product)
Purchase token/receipt, product ID, entitlement status/expiry for the one-time 7-day ad-free product.
We do not receive card or bank details.
Purpose: fulfill the purchase, entitlement management, tax/audit compliance.
Legal basis: contract performance & legal obligation.
E. User-generated content stored on device
Notes/journal entries, saved favorites, checklists, local settings.
Storage: by default on your device (e.g., AsyncStorage). Not used for ads; not uploaded to our servers unless explicitly stated elsewhere.
F. Network requests to third-party content providers
Technical metadata (IP, timestamp, URL path) may be processed by map providers/CDN when loading maps or static content.
Purpose: content delivery, performance, security.
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) – ads delivery & measurement; Google UMP for consent.
Firebase Analytics – aggregated usage analytics (screen views, feature usage, device/app metadata). In EU/UK, collected only with consent.
Firebase Crashlytics – crash reports and stack traces.
Google Play Billing – in-app purchase processing (7-day ad-free).
Google Maps/Places (if features enabled) – maps, nearby places.
CDN (e.g., BunnyCDN) – hosting static app content (images/data).
These providers act as independent controllers or processors under their own privacy policies.
EU/UK: we display a UMP consent form on first launch; you can revisit it in Settings → Privacy/Consent (if provided in-app) or restrict ad personalization in device settings.
Ad-Free for 7 days: available via in-app purchase; during the active window no ads are requested.
Purchase/entitlement records: for the 7-day period and as required by tax/audit law.
Crash logs: typically 90–180 days (per provider defaults).
Ad logs: per Google’s retention policies.
On-device content: until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Data may be processed worldwide. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs).
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Subject to local law (e.g., GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, and consent withdrawal (does not affect prior processing).

You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (e.g., encrypted transport, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Collected: device & app info, crash data; ad ID/IP for ads; purchase token; optional location for features.
Shared: may be shared with advertising/analytics providers to deliver and measure services.
Encryption: data is encrypted in transit.
Deletion: you can clear in-app data (where available), revoke ad consent, and contact us to exercise rights.
ToTourist provides travel ideas, map/nearby views, checklists, and entertaining content. The Service is provided “as is” without warranty.
Intended for users 16+ (or the applicable age of consent in your country). Parental responsibility applies for minors.
By default, the App shows ads. A one-time 7-day ad-free product is available via Google Play Billing. After expiry, ads resume; you may purchase again.
Purchases are handled by Google Play; we do not receive payment card details.
Prices may vary by country and may include taxes and exchange-rate effects.
The 7-day product is a one-time purchase (not a subscription). Refunds are handled exclusively by Google Play under its policies.
Content you create (e.g., notes/journal) remains yours and typically stays on your device. You agree not to post or create unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
You may not reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the Service or attempt to manipulate ad delivery, measurements, or billing.
All app code, design, and media are protected by copyright and other laws. All rights reserved by Evanor LLP and licensors.
To the extent permitted by law, Evanor LLP is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages (including lost data or profits).
We may update these terms and this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app and/or on our website, and the “Last updated” date will change.
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Courts in Canada have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.
